I had no idea the kind of response I would get when I wrote this post last week. In fact, I debated for a few days if I should even post it – but I’m so glad that I did. The amount of readers, comments, facebook messages, and emails have been astounding.
I’ve had friends from all stages of life enter into this discussion. Single friends, friends who have grown children, friends who are struggling to get pregnant, friends who have very new babies… And the overwhelming consensus from the moms was this: Keep asking us good questions, keep working at our friendship.
I wish that you could read every email I received. There was so much depth, honesty, beauty, and reflection contained in those emails. But since it wouldn’t be fair to my friends to post their emails to the world, I’ve asked a few of them to write guest posts this week.
I’m not a mom, so I don’t know what it’s like, but many of my friends do, and my hope is that their wisdom will bring encouragement, challenge, and a reminder of your potential, worth, and purpose.
I can’t wait to read my friends posts and hear your thoughts! My friends who guest post will be responding to comments, so please comment on the blog (not on facebook) so that they are able to engage in the discussion.
